Federal judge extends pause of Parole in Place policy

Judge J. Campbell Barker of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas extended the temporary pause on the “Keeping Families Together” policy until September 23rd. Judge Campbell late last month issued a 14-day pause preventing USCIS from processing applications or granting parole under the new rule. Notwithstanding the status of the lawsuit USCIS can and will continue accepting applications during this period.
